The Most Positive Tarot Cards
These are the most positive tarot cards to pull, in my humble opinion. They are listed in the order they appear in the deck. So, let’s take a look at the most positive tarot cards you can pull in a general reading. When it comes to love, health, and success, I’ve singled out some special cards below.
The Chariot | You are going places when this card appears. You might be moving or working on a promotion. But you aren’t standing still. |
The Wheel of Fortune | This is a lucky tarot card and it’s about good fortune coming your way. Or maybe you are following the path you are meant to be on, and you’ll be rewarded by the universe. Either way, it’s great news. |
Death | Death is a strange choice, but change is wonderful. And this card brings opportunities and the chance to do things differently. |
The Sun | This is a card of light and laughter. It’s about summertime and picnics and going to the beach with your family. Pure joy. |
Three of Wands | This is a manifesting card. Waiting for your ships to come in, or waiting for the fruits of your labor to be harvested. Your hard work is about to pay off. |
Four of Wands | Coming home, stability, a reunion with loved ones. |
Positive Tarot Cards for Love
What are the most positive tarot cards for a love reading? My candidates are below. This list isn’t exhaustive, but it’s a great start. I’ve organized it by suit. Whenever one of these cards appears in a love reading, it’s a good sign for your relationship.
The Lovers | This one may seem obvious, but it is a soulmate connection, a very strong relationship. |
Ace of Cups | The start of a new romantic cycle, overwhelming emotion for someone |
Two of Cups | A genuine connected relationship. A partnership card, a meeting of the minds. |
Three of Cups | It means that you have a great time when you are with this person. You love being with one another. |
Ten of Cups | This is a committed relationship and a wish fulfillment card. |
Six of Pentacles | A willingness to invest time and effort into a relationship. Being willing to give to a person, and not just take. |
Eight of Pentacles | Pentacles indicate effort and stability. They are about value. This is being willing to do the hard work in a relationship. |
Ten of Pentacles | Stability, building a foundation with someone. This might even mean a marriage. Commitment. |
Ace of Wands | A lot of passion for someone, longing. Desire, a spark. It’s a feeling of excitement. |
Best Tarot Cards for Success
The tarot has a lot to say about careers and financial abundance. These are listed in order they appear in the deck. If you are looking to get ahead, these are the cards you want to see in your reading.
The Magician | What a powerful card. This is a chance to speak your intention and manifest your own destiny. |
Nine of Cups | Your own personal happiness. It’s a sense of satisfaction, knowing that you have everything you need. |
Ten of Cups | It’s a wish fulfillment card, literally a happily ever after here. |
Six of Wands | This is recognition, attention, affection and winning. This is a great card to get if you are looking for a promotion. |
Eight of Wands | Something is on it’s way to you. The Eight of Wands can be communication. It’s also about movement and momentum. |
Ace of Pentacles | The start of a new cycle, planting a seed for your future. Growth. Expansion. |
Nine of Pentacles | The Nine of Pentacles is my favorite success card in the deck. It’s wealth, abundance. Enjoying the fruits of your labor. |
Ten of Pentacles | A strong foundation, financial wealth. Stability. Security. |
Best Tarot Cards for Health
There are several cards in the deck that deal with health and wellness. For the purposes of this deck, I’m including both mental health and physical well-being. And I’ve gone in order of how they appear in order.
The Empress | Love, nurturing, personal growth. Self care. Empathy for yourself. Self love. Essentially, caring for yourself the way a nurturing mother would. |
Temperance | Finding balance and harmony. This could be with your responsibilities and your relationships. Maybe the way you eat or exercise. There’s a sense of moderation. |
Strength | Being strong (physically, mentally). Even if you face challenges, you can handle whatever life throws at you. |
The Star | A card of healing, manifestation, getting in touch with your emotions. |
Four of Swords | Resting, healing, relaxing. Gathering one’s strength. This is a hibernation kind of card. |
Six of Swords | Moving into calmer waters, leaving a chaotic state behind. |
Bad Tarot Cards & The Worst Tarot Card
And since we are doing the best of the best, I thought I’d include the flip side here as well. What about the worst? The really bad tarot cards, the ones you never ever want to see in a tarot reading. And the worst tarot card in the whole darn deck is at the end of this list.
The Moon | Fear, anxiety, secrets, lies. |
Three of Swords | Heartbreak, heartache, a loss. Grief sadness. The bad breakup card. |
Seven of Swords | Dealing with a liar, a cheater, a double crosser. Someone who has bad intentions towards you. |
Eight of Swords | Self-limiting behavior and self-sabotage. Bad behavior patterns. |
Ten of Swords | Being stabbed in the back. Literally. Betrayal. |
Five of Cups | Regrets about past actions. |
Five of Pentacles | Being without resources.Losing your money, your job, your relationship. Abandoned, alone, lonely. |
Five of Wands | Conflict and drama, fighting with others. |
Nine of Wands | Paranoia, being exhausted, wore down. |
The Tower | And this is the biggest baddest card in the deck. The Tower is a disaster. Something that can tear your life apart. Divorce, unemployment, death, loss. It’s unexpected and unwelcome. However, it does bring change and realignment…at a cost. |
