Libra Tarot Cards
Below, you will find the tarot cards associated with Libra. Some of these come from my experience as a Tarot reader, and some are recognized more widely in the tarot reading community.
Justice
Justice is very closely associated with Libra. Libra has an innate ability to balance the scales. Libras can see both sides of an argument, both perspectives in a situation. Libros also have the ability to make cool, calm, level-headed decisions in any situation. They can see right down into the heart of the matter, the truth. Justice is a very objective, ethical card. It stands for truth, justice, and equity.
Judgement
For me, as a reader, the Judgement card is pure Libra energy. It’s about making a large decision and weighing your options carefully.
This is a call to action towards your goals, your heart’s desire, and the chance to make huge decisions in your life. This is undoubtedly a defining moment. So, choose wisely.
This card can also mean breathing new life into something, a resurrection. I view Libras as extremely optimistic. It’s never too late to change your mind or change your fate.
Two of Pentacles
Most tarot readers don’t view this as a Libra tarot card, but I do. This card is about balance, juggling your responsibilities, weighing your options. What could be more Libra than this? This card will crop up in a reading if you have a lot of balls in the air. It might be time to take stock of your responsibilities and maybe prioritize your tasks again.
Two of Swords
This is about making very difficult decisions. Which path do you choose? Do you go left or right? Once again, decision-making is Libra’s super power. Libras can see all sides. They make balanced, focused, intentional decisions.
If the Two of Swords shows up in your spread, you might be deciding between two good things, two bad things, or even choosing whatever your head wants over what your heart is telling you.
Three of Swords
Ouch! This is a really painful card. The Three of Swords is often about having your heart broken, a disappointment in love or in life. It’s about heartbreak and heartache and pain. Libras know that life can’t be all joy. Remember the concept of balance? Libras know that you must have both joy and pain in this life. If you never experience the bad things life has to offer, how can you truly enjoy the sweeter moments?
Four of Swords
When this card appears in your reading, it’s time to take a rest. The four of Swords means that you need to rest, regroup, and gather your thoughts. It will usually show up in someone’s readings when they are needing a break. When they aren’t sure what to do and they are burdened by their thoughts. Libra to the rescue. Libra is associated with balance and it might be time to take a look at your work/life balance. Libras know when it is take to care of yourself and make self care a priority.
Queen of Swords
In my mind, this is the quintessential Libra tarot card.
The Queen of Swords is logical, balanced, and thoughtful. She never makes rash decisions. The Queen of Swords is excellent at seeing the truth of the matter. She can create boundaries and borders between her and others.
I think of the Queen of Swords as a guardian, a gatekeeper. She is brainy, sharp-witted, clever, truthful, straightforward and outspoken. It symbolizes impartiality and self-sufficiency. Nevertheless, this card can moreover designate that you may be overpowering some pain or unhappiness from past proceedings.
